“Brainspotting is not about fixing you — it’s about helping your nervous system access more choice.”

The Modality

What Is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a brain-and-body-based therapy that works through the relationship between your eyes and your brain. By finding specific eye positions, it accesses areas of the brain where unprocessed emotional material is stored — deeper regions that talk therapy alone often can’t reach.

When the nervous system has been under chronic stress, the parts of the brain responsible for clarity, regulation, and choice stop communicating effectively. The system stays on alert, even when the original threat is long past. Brainspotting helps the brain and body become aware of where they’re holding tension and protection — and supports the system’s natural capacity to reorganize, rather than forcing it to change.

As that happens, many people feel more present in their body, more emotionally regulated, and more adaptable in their relationships and daily life.

The Group

Healing in Witness

This isn’t traditional group therapy. You won’t be asked to share your trauma story or process out loud. Each person does their own internal work while the group holds space. The shared energy and co-regulation create a container that individual work alone can’t replicate.

Group Brainspotting is an online psychotherapy group built around Brainspotting, a brain-and-body-based therapy that supports emotional processing and integration at a pace that respects your nervous system. The work is grounded in relational presence, attunement, and embodied awareness.

Sessions are structured and gentle, with an emphasis on pacing, choice, and safety. Sharing is always optional.

No previous Brainspotting experience is required.

All group participants will receive a complimentary 45-minute individual orientation session with Esma before their first group therapy session and a digital therapeutic resourcing guide to support nervous-system regulation and integration between sessions

What Can Shift

Brainspotting Opens Your Nervous System to New Possibilities

As the nervous system learns that it doesn’t need to stay on high alert, many people notice:

Greater emotional agility

Experiencing difficult emotions without being consumed by them or shutting them down.

More awareness, more choice

You can pause before reacting and choose how to respond, rather than defaulting to old patterns. The space between feeling and reaction gets wider.

A wider window of tolerance

Greater capacity for both stress and intimacy. You feel safer in your body, more connected to yourself, and better equipped to navigate relationships.

The Deeper Work

What Brainspotting Makes Possible

This isn’t about fixing what’s wrong with you. It’s about helping your nervous system access more choice.

Over time, this process can support the nervous system in developing new, more flexible patterns — allowing you to feel safer in your body, more connected to yourself, and better equipped to navigate relationships and life’s challenges.

Brainspotting supports nervous system awareness and flexibility, which over time can help people expand their capacity to handle stress without going into survival mode.

Over time, people may find that they're not just understanding their patterns differently. They are responding differently in real time.

“This isn’t about never getting triggered — it’s about recovering more quickly and with more awareness.”

How it works

What a Session Looks Like

This therapy group is focused on expansion, regulation, and resourcing.

Brainspotting for Self-Love and Secure Attachment is a trauma-focused group psychotherapy that integrates Brainspotting and somatic approaches with evidence-based therapies such as CBT, DBT, and ACT to support emotional regulation, trauma recovery, and improved relationships.

Sessions include guided regulation exercises, experiential processing, and opportunities for reflection and connection in a structured and supportive environment. The group provides a consistent weekly space to slow down and practice new ways of relating to yourself and others with the support of a community who is also prioritizing care, growth, and connection.

Here’s what brings people to this group:

  • Psychoeducation on Brainspotting, attachment patterns, trauma healing, healthy relationships, and coping skills informed by ACT, CBT, and DBT

  • Establishing group safety, consent, and shared expectations

  • Gentle seated mind–body connection and grounding exercises

  • Reflective and experiential activities using symbolic card prompts

  • Guided imagery informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support self-awareness, self-compassion, and internal coherence

  • Brainspotting practice to support processing and nervous system regulation

  • Grounding and resourcing exercises

  • Optional sharing and connection with group members in a supportive environment

  • Closing integration and reflection exercise

Healing in Community

Transforming and growing together

There is something profoundly human about healing together.

Many of our deepest wounds formed in relationships—moments of disconnection, misunderstanding, or feeling unseen. Because of this, meaningful healing often happens in relationships too. When people gather in a safe, respectful space with shared intentions, growth can unfold in powerful ways.

Why Healing in Community Matters

Humans are wired for connection. When we experience safety and acceptance in a group, our nervous systems can begin to relearn what healthy connection feels like.

Combining Group & Individual Sessions: A Flexible Approach

Many clients choose to combine options for the best of both worlds.

For example, some clients:

• Attend Brainspotting group sessions weekly
• Schedule individual therapy sessions only when deeper personal work is needed

This approach allows clients to maintain ongoing therapeutic support while reserving individual time for the moments that matter most and making therapy more financially manageable.

Choosing the Right Approach

Every client’s needs, goals, and circumstances are different. During our initial consultation, we can explore which structure may be the best fit for you.

Whether you prefer consistent individual sessions, flexible support, or a combination of group and individual work, the goal is to create a therapeutic experience that feels both meaningful and sustainable.
